I know nobody would raise his eyebrows as I write about Rehman’s Music.
What a gift we have been given in the form of Rehman! Personally he has given me new approach seeing the life, experiencing the life. Here I mean not only Music but his kind, calm nature, spiritual and philosophical persona and his helping hand for the society. His struggle and letting work speak for itself; these are some of his qualities I want to inherit strongly.
I don’t know what happens to me when his music touches my ear. I can’t express my feelings when I hear his music but I know it doesn’t keep me in the same world where we live. I forget every material thing around me and become one with his tunes. Really his music is poison. It swallows you thoroughly and the real charisma lies where you don’t get a hint that you are being hypnotized. I have spent hours, days, years of my life listening to his tunes (accepting some are very bad) and the Music director-fan relation is for forever. I thank god for my liking towards any kind of music and giving me Rehman`s music as a perfect blessing!
Will not mention here any specific album by Rehman as every album itself is a different musical journey and reveals something new every time when you hear it repeatedly. Just will pick following pieces which I personally like
1)_Bombay theme(Bombay)
2) Mere des ki mitti-instrumental (Bose-the forgotten hero)
3) Kwaja mere kwaja- instrumental(Jodha Akbar)
4) Dil hai chotasa- flute instrumental(Roja)
And the list is never ending.
I can feel the eternal satisfaction felt by him when a superb tune takes birth in the candle light in his Chennai studio after midnight. Where the entire world is deep asleep something is awaking in his studio. I just complain to God why I am not his piano. How nice it would have been if I were his piano. I would be the first to put the tune to the reality which is just conceived in his mind a moment ago. I would be the first to sing “Ye tara voh tara”. I would the first to be a call of my nation..”ye jo des hai tera”, I would be the first to cry for “Luka chuppi”, I would be the first to miss my love “a ajnabi” and I would be the first to hug that One “o re chori”……………
If I were his piano…….
There is one sentence by him which really means me a lot
“If you want to become a fully pledged artist then it is not enough if you know classical ragas nor it is enough if you are skilled at techniques and rhythms, instead you should be closed with life and its philosophy. There should be, somewhere in the corner of your heart, a tinge of lingering sorrow”
I always keep wishing..”If I were his piano…”

Inspiration
Today, I came across one inspirational video showing India as the future of the world. In that video, Einstein quote was highlighted. “We owe a lot to the Indians who invented DNA and zero and who taught us calculations.” I started feeling uneasy as I was feeling eager to serve for the India being in India. Today I am out of my land just for a temporary hunger of money with the traditional thinking of early settlement in life. Is that ok? Will that suffice the purpose of serving the motherland? My thought machine began.
The video was so enthralling that my nerves got straight. It was full of emerging India and its growth in every aspect of the life. “Every third technical person in the world is an Indian”—every Indian will feel proud after realizing this truth. We are everywhere whether IT, Science, Medical, Microbiology, Mechanical, Automobile, Services we are climbing the ladder of the success very fast. Every fortune 500 company has its branch in India, Every top MNC will have its headquarter and R & D centre in India soon and Indian companies have started swallowing up the American, European firms. These all are the signs of the future world power. So far so good.
I just fear China. If the Indian tiger is in attacking mood, the Chinese Dragon is also greedy and hungry to swallow each and everything. They are equally intelligent as Indians are and more flexible than us. Moreover their population base which is larger in number has now become their major strength.
We have to concentrate on our strong points .We have third largest English base in the world. India has splendid record of human right preservation. We are the biggest democracy and have shown balanced and matured growth in spite of numerous problems be it corruption, terrorist intrusions, natural calamities or increasing poverty and population.
Every problem has solution and we will overcome all the current problems also. Leave it aside. Government will take care of that. Slowly but surely.
I wish to highlight one thing if we really want to sustain the status of superpower. Along with all this technical and economical growth we should not leave behind our soft skills. Generally it happens with every society. If the country gets developed it leaves behind all its history and culture. India has got strong records of both the things. If our history has been the face of unending life struggle and humanitarian values then our culture also has evolved mankind. Here lies the advantage of the ideal country. Indians are so bound to these things and I really wish we should never get an inch farther from these routes.
China has already detached itself from soft skills as it is obvious. It has got the worst record of human rights violation and betrayals. Pro-Tibetans activities are still showing the same face of China.
While becoming the superpower, let us be the best friend of the entire world. Let us celebrate the rich culture that is India. India is a leader. India is a philosopher. India is a song and India is a poem. We are India’s sons and will continue to struggle for the land.

passing thought
I have spent almost eight and half months in Japan. I was always lured by Japan.
I will not write everything which will be too boring to read but wanted to share one
of the major thoughts which is very strong now a days on my mind
Why such a small country is so ahead of time? How they survived from atomic bombings
and not only survived but went on to become world's second largest economy?
Many things have been written about Japanese people, their hard working nature,
their workaholic life blah blah blah..
I wanted to add one thing to this list..i.e their team work..the term which is not something attached to Japanese people only. Very Very normal thing.
We all have studied the importance of team work sometime in our life but what we
Indians lack today is the team work..we waste our sharp brain doing not so useful things...( Like I am doing now..writing a boring blog ha ha)
I dont know but I am feeling if this is implemented strongly, vigoursly in India
then nothing gonna stop us. Plus we do have added advantages or edges over this countrymen.
We are English friendly (It is our new mother tongue). We have good management,
skilled personnels in abundant. ( Japanese people are poor at management..I am not the one to shout this, you can easily know it if you come across any book written on
Japanese Management or Japanese firm or people)
It is rightly said about India, We have leaders but we dont have followers...
Let us become a team to achieve one target..DEVELOPED INDIA!

SAKURA

It was an usual Saturday Morning. I was staying at my friend`s place to spend the weekend in Tokyo. That Saturday (dated 29/03/2008), friend was supposed to go for a lunch to his senior Japanese colleague`s place. I was alone almost full day. What to do?
Thought let us have lunch in Indian restaurant called "Mumbai" and then roam around for some time and return back.
I got ready and went for lunch. Full course luch was perfect for that perfect Saturday afternoon. I was fully satisfied and loaded.
Though we had planned to go for Sakura viewing( Cherry blossom) the next day, I got curious as the streets in that area were flooded with the large number of people. I could not stop myself and become one in the crowd.
I wasnt knowing at all what I was going to get to see and save in the memory which will never be deleted till the end of life.
As I reached a small bridge and looked the both side..Ohh my my....the trees of the Sakura were blossomed with pure white colour, thier reflection in water was yelling the same divinity and river was the luckiest one at that moment to have Sakura trees along its banks. People were boating quietly, couples were kissing each other keeping the nature as the witness for their love. Many were taking snaps of Sakura.. the biggest pride of Japan and Japanese people. And why should not it be...If you see it, I think there are no enough words to describe it..I also started my clicking and went on clicking clicking cliking...
Then I headed for Kudanshita Garden, Tokyo. That also left me memsomrised by its beuty but not surprised as I was expecting the same. It was like dream coming true for me as I had heard a lot about Sakura since childhood, also from my Japanese sensei and saw pictures of it here and there. I had a big wish to enjoy Sakura once in lifetime and that was now becoming the reality.
The people had gathered there in garden with their families. They all were busy clicking the pictures of Sakura. Children were lying along small river observing the fishes in the water and reflection of Sakura. Many people had come prepared their lunch boxes along with the cans of Beers. Everyone was in the peaceful state of oneness with nature. Forgeting all the worries of daily fast and dry life..
I also got myself clicked twice by japanese people( No alternative, as I was alone I had to request Japanese..I tried to impress them with my Japanese skills...ha ha)
I spent some time observing a very different kind of nature from that of India. Though I always considerd that our India is quite rich in nature compared to Japan but this time it was not the same thoughts. If nature has been very cruel to Japan in terms of earthquakes, volcanos, extreme weather conditions, they have the supreme boon in terms of Sakura. It is their land and if you see Sakura fron Japanese point of view, there is undoubtedly extreme pride in the mind...
I had got what I wanted..it was a very prestigeous day for me..
My thoughts were unstoppable while returning..
I was doing only one thing...
that was click click click...
